Founder & Managing Director

John Lim is a development manager, civil & structural engineer and the founder of Land Prime Australia. With over 30 years of experience across Australia and Asia, John brings a rare combination of technical precision, commercial acumen, and hands-on leadership to every stage of development.

He began his career as a site engineer in Malaysia, working on major government and private-sector projects, before expanding into large-scale residential, commercial, office, and industrial developments. In the 2010s, John established Land Prime Australia in Melbourne with a clear mission: to create developments that are both commercially sound and deeply considered.

John is widely respected for his ability to lead cross-functional project teams, align stakeholders, and deliver complex projects with confidence and clarity. His strengths lie in site analysis, feasibility, development strategy, funding procurement, and end-to-end project delivery.

What sets John apart is his approach — backcasting each project from the investor’s desired outcome. It’s a method built on logic, flexibility, and results. Trusted, experienced, and quietly driven, John remains personally involved in every Land Prime Australia’s project, ensuring the same attention to detail from blueprint to completion.

One of John’s most meaningful memories comes from a major shopping mall he helped deliver in Malaysia. On the day it opened, a café tenant brewed its first coffee and offered him the first cup. It was a small gesture — but it marked something bigger. The lights were on. The doors were open. Life had begun.

That moment stayed with him. For John, buildings are more than structures. They are places of connection, experience, and permanence.
